The unique cooperation between Stockmann and the University of Art and Design Helsinki (former TaiK, now Aalto University, School of Art, Design and Architecture) culminated in the Argos Young Designers event, which presented over 20 young Finnish designers and their work for this exhibition: clothing, jewellery and shoe collections, bags and other accessories. Our concept in 2011 was a fascinating dream-like environment imported into the present day. The event was titled AWAKE and included a fashion show within the retail space.

I was the spatial designer for this project together with Suvi Sederlöf.

The Argos Young Designers event is a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary project that is part of the TaiK Master's Degree Group. Students have searched and found the most current fashion designers of the moment, implemented Argos Hall's space and furniture design and products, and designed the event's graphical look. This year our collaboration with Woland was realized as a mesmerizing video installation (see above), situated in the corner window of Aleksanterinkatu and Keskuskatu. The installation had two different loops, one for day and one for night.
