Blue Line -

The Blue Line (Sininen Viiva), the laser light ovet the Union axis, celebrated Helsinki's 200th anniversary as the capital. The work was designed by architect Vesa Honkonen. The technical implementation was be Eastway. The over 3 km long laser beam was reflected from the roof of the Helsinki Observatory (Kopernikuksentie 1) to the tower of the Kallio Church. 

The blue line marked subtly the longest longitudinal axis of the city and connected the extremities of the Union axis with each other.
